Chapter one

Again

        Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel around a lot? you think it would be great right? wrong. I'm seventeen and this will be my tenth move in the last two years. My mom Traci isn't what you would call normal she's a witch. Or at least a witch wanna be her spells always seem to go wrong one way or another, and my brother Dillon well lets just say he's a jerk in the loving kind of way.
Miller, just wants to eat him. Miller is my German shepherd who in fact I can here inside my head. Mom says being a telepathic runs in the family, what she doesn't know is that I can also move things with my mind and tend to blow things up. That's why were moving...again... I anciently blew up the science building at my old school. What? It's not my fault they put chemicals next to each other that shouldn't be there. So that's why were going to live with my grandmother Katherine. Mom says she's cool but what ever mom says is cool usually isn't.
         Sighing, I lean my head against the car window watching the trees and the occasional cow go by. "Oh buck up, at least now your not suspended anymore." Knowing Millers voice in my head I roll over to look at him. "Oh yeah moving thousand's of miles away again is exactly what I wanted to do" Listing to Miller laugh his doggy laugh makes me smile. "Yea know I think I'm going to miss old Ms. Keller." Miller chocks in mid laugh "that cranky old lady who always used to yell at us to always get off her sidewalk? When it's not even her's? That old Ms. Keller or am I missing something?" Giggling "Yea that old Ms. Keller she always made me laugh" With Miller glaring at me I rolled back over to snicker out the window. "That old lady always used to throw sticks at me" Putting my hand over my mouth trying not to laugh "Yea that's why I'm going to miss her." Miller growls. " Knock it off back there! You know I don't like it when I can't here at least here half of your conversation Miller, Ray-Jay." Mom says and Miller wines. "yes ma' ma." Sighing I Turn to look behind us to make sure Dillon hasn't crashed my truck that's carrying my bike and all my other toys. Since I blew up the science building my mom took away anything and everything, even my books. Mumbling, laying my head against the seat I close my eyes and slowly drift off to sleep dreading the moment we get to Grandmothers Katherine's.
         I feel a cold wet nose against my check pushing at Miller to leave me alone. "Were Here." Feeling for the door handle I stumble out of the car and stand up finally opening my eyes and see a big old house, neat yard and a bird fountain. Looking at Miller "That bird fountain has to go" Miller glaring "Don't even think about it." Laughing " To late!" Hearing Miller sigh I walk towards my mom whose talking to what looks like an older version of her. The elder woman looks over at us "Don't you blow up my bird bath young lady or else were going to have some problems!" My mouth hits the floor as Miller jerks to a stop and we star at each other. "did I say that out loud?" Miller shakes his head "No you didn't" We turn to look at her. "You can hear us?" The old woman laughs "Of course dear! you didn't think you got it from your farther's side of the family did yea now?" Shaking my head " I wouldn't know. I don't know my farther, or anything about him." Her smile falls. "It's better that way dear." Her smile lights back up "Now come give grandma Katherine a hug! I haven't seen you since you were five years old." Since I couldn't remember anything before I was ten I walked over to my new found grandmother and hugged her. She smelled of redwood and sugar, it felt like home..a real home.. and it scared the living daylights out of me.
